If you are serious about trying to reinstate or modify your loan,
you should contact your loan servicer to find out what you
need to do. This is the best and easiet route for having your
loan reinstated or modified. If you are unable to reach your loan
servicer after multiple tries, or if you have spoken with the
servicer and were not able to find a solution, we suggest you
review your situation realistically.
If you determine that you are able to make your loan payments
regularly or you will be able to make the anticipated payments
for a reasonably modified loan, there are resources you can
contact for assistance. Usually written letters will get more
attention, but if your time is limited, a phone call or e-mail
can help too.
Depending on your situation, contact one or more of the resources
you find here. Let our Community know what happens when you
contact any of these resources for consumer assistance.
