You should keep your mortgage documents together in a safe place that is easily accessed so they are handy when you need them. This can be important as you deal with your lender or servicer to resolve your difficulties successfully. It would be helpful to try to assemble as many of these documents as possible:

• Pay stubs

• Documents that show your monthly expenses

– Car payments
