Suzanne Smither
Suzanne Smither helps borrowers make their way safely through the credit card jungle, alerting them to the beneficial, thorny and toxic species of plastic we all know and love (well, sometimes love).
Her career in journalism includes daily newspapers and news and trade magazines in Connecticut and Florida, where she held positions ranging from reporter to managing editor. Smither also has experience in market research and management consulting.
With wide-ranging curiosity and a passion for clarity, Smither translates complex concepts into ideas readers can use in their everyday lives. Her clients have included American Media Inc., Phoenix Media Network Inc., and Newsmax.com. One of her most satisfying projects was researching and writing “A 21st Century Survival Kit,” a guidebook to help international corporate real estate executives anticipate the global challenges of the new millennium.
Smither is a past president of the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors. She helped establish the William E. Miller Awards for Enterprise Reporting at the University of Florida in Gainesville, and has lectured to journalism classes there and at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.
